On se retrouve aujourd’hui pour l’habituelle review d’hôtel. En toute transparence, je fais ces reviews en partenariat avec les hôtels mais sachez quand même que si quelque chose ne me plaît pas, j’en parle toujours ! Ces reviews sont là pour vous aider à faire des choix, en fonction du prix de la nuit d’un hôtel et de l’expérience qui vous attend derrière. Aujourd’hui, direction la Jordanie et le Fairmont, un hôtel 5* situé dans le quartier du 5th Circle d’Amman.

C’était la première fois que je séjournais dans un hôtel Fairmont (Accor Hotels). Il faut savoir qu’il y a plus d’une cinquantaine hôtels Fairmont répartis dans le monde entier (j’ai fait quelques petites recherches quand même). Tous ces hôtels sont référencés dans la liste des plus luxueux du monde. Quoi qu’il en soit, quand vous réservez une nuit dans un Fairmont, je pense que vous pouvez être sûrs que le service suit derrière.
LA CHAMBRE
L’hôtel propose des Guest rooms (celle que nous avions), des suites, des chambres Fairmont Gold mais aussi des résidences pour accueillir des familles ou des groupes d’amis. Après avoir fait le check-in, on est arrivé dans une chambre lumineuse avec deux lits jumeaux. On voulait chacune avoir notre espace pour se reposer et travailler le soir. Il y bien sûr des chambres double avec lit king size. On avait à disposition un espace de travail avec un bureau, un petit espace de lecture avec des grandes baies vitrées, super le soir pour la vue, et une grande salle de bain avec baignoire, douche et deux espaces de toilettes.
Prix : à partir de 155 JOD/ nuit (petit-déjeuner inclus)
LE SPA
On a profité de notre nuit au Fairmont pour tester un soin visage dans le spa de l’hôtel : Willow Stream. Accueillies comme des reines, on est toutes les deux parties dans une salle différente pour se changer et se faire chouchouter par l’une des meilleures masseuses de la terre (oui de la terre je vous dis). Elles en ont profité pour nous donner des conseils pour traiter notre peau après avoir fait une analyse en profondeur de nos pores. Attention, n’oubliez pas de réserver votre soin / massage avant. Vous pouvez directement appeler le spa depuis votre chambre. Si jamais vous avez un peu de temps devant vous avant de vous faire chouchouter (ou après d’ailleurs), il y une gigantesque salle de sport avec des écrans, des cours personnalisés et vous avez même le droit de finir dans la piscine du spa à l’intérieur ou à l’extérieur ! Combo parfait.
LE RESTAURANT : LE SALT
Après avoir profité du spa et dormi un petit peu (on était fatigué du voyage retour depuis Wadi Rum jusqu’à Amman), on est parti faire notre petite visite de l’hôtel pour ensuite aller manger au Salt. Il y a plusieurs restaurants dans l’hôtel, comme vous pouvez le voir sur les photos mais celui-ci a été décoré dans l’esprit d’un bistrot parisien et on s’est dit que c’était pas mal pour clôturer notre séjour et nous remettre dans le bain français. Bon, je vous avoue aussi qu’on a regardé la carte et qu’on a fait “Wah non mais t’as vu ça ?! On mange là direct !”. Ici, c’est aussi le paradis pour ceux qui adorent la viande. Vous allez en avoir de toutes sortes. Les pièces sont généralement importées d’Argentine (eh oui!). Pas de dress code, vous y allez comme vous voulez, midi et soir ! Bon pas de maillot de bains quand même hein!

- 5 minutes en voiture du nouveau centre urbain Abdali
- 8 minutes de la mosquée King Abdullah
- 15 minutes en voiture de la citadelle d’Amman et des plus beaux sites à ne pas manquer
- 30 minutes de l’aéroport international d’Amman (par Uber ou voiture, nous n’avons pas testé les transports en commun)
- 50 minutes des magnifiques ruines de Jerash
MON AVIS
CE QUE J’AIME
- l’hôtel est gigantesque, c’est un labyrinthe mais agréable ! J’adore les grands espaces
- le service et l’accueil du personnel, hôtel de luxe oui et ça suit derrière donc c’est encore mieux.
- la qualité des produits servis au restaurant
- la piscine sur le toit de l’hôtel
CE QUE VOUS DEVRIEZ SAVOIR AVANT DE RÉSERVER
- Attention, pendant le Ramadan, respectez la culture et ne vous découvrez pas trop en dehors de votre chambre. Quoi qu’il en soit, vous verrez qu’il n’y a personne dans les espaces communs en pleine journée. Très souvent, ceux qui font le Ramadan profitent du pic de chaleur pour se reposer au frais.
- Vous êtes dans l’un des quartiers les plus chics de la capitale. Tous les hôtels de luxe se trouvent dans ce périmètre.

In all sincerity, I write these reviews in partnership with the hotels but you have to know that if I don’t like something, I always write about it! These reviews are here to help you make choices, based on the price of a hotel’s night and the experience you will have. So, I don’t want to share the best but I want to share the truth. Today, we are off to Jordan and the Fairmont, a 5 * hotel located in the 5th Circle of Amman.

This was the first time I stayed at a Fairmont hotel (Accor Hotels). You should know that there are more than 50 Fairmont hotels around the world (I did some researches for you). All these hotels are listed like some of the most luxurious in the world. Anyway, when you book a night in one of these hotels, you can be sure that the service follows. And, that’s great.
THE ROOM
The hotel offers guest rooms (the one we had), suites, Fairmont Gold rooms but also residences to accommodate families or groups of friends. After checking in, we arrived in a bright room with two twin beds. We each wanted to have our space to rest and work in the evening. There are of course double rooms with king size bed. We had at our disposal a work area with a desk, a small reading area with large windows, great for the view during the evening, and a large bathroom with bath, shower and two toilet spaces.

THE SPA
We took advantage of our night at the Fairmont to test a facial treatment in the hotel’s spa: Willow Stream. Welcomed like queens, we went both in a different room to change and be pampered by one of the best massage therapists of the earth (yes of the earth). They took the opportunity to give us tips to treat our skin after doing an in-depth analysis of our skin. Be careful, don’ forget to book your treatment / massage before. You can call the spa directly from your room. If you ever have a little time before you get pampered (or afterwards), there is a huge gym with screens, custom classes and you even have the right to finish in the spa pool inside or outside! Perfect combo 😉
THE RESTAURANT
After enjoying the spa and sleeping a little bit (we were tired of the return trip from Wadi Rum to Amman), we went for a quick tour of the hotel and then went to eat at the Salt restaurant. There are several restaurants in the hotel, as you can see in the photos but it was decorated in the spirit of a Parisian bistro and we thought it was good to finish our stay and put us back in the French vibes. Well, I also admit that we looked at the menu and we said “Wah no way! Do you saw that? We eat there!”. Here, it’s also the paradise for those who love meat. You will have all kinds. There are usually imported from Argentina (yes!). No dress code, you go as you want, noon and night! No swimsuit anyway huh!
WHAT YOU CAN FIND AROUND ?
- 5 minutes by car to the new Abdali urban center
- 8 minutes from King Abdullah Mosque
- 15 minutes by car to the citadel of Amman and the most beautiful touristic sites
- 30 minutes from Amman International Airport (by Uber or car, we didn’t try the public transport)
- 50 minutes from the magnificent ruins of Jerash
MY OPINION
WHAT I LIKE
- The hotel is huge, it’s a labyrinth but nice one! I love the big spaces.
- The service and the staff reception, a luxury hotel yes and the quality is here so it’s even better!
- The quality of the products served at the restaurant
- The rooftop pool of the hotel
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE BOOKING
- Be careful, during Ramadan, respect the culture and don’t discover yourself too much outside of your room. Anyway, you will see that there is no one in the common areas in the middle of the day. Very often, those who do Ramadan take advantage of the heat to rest in a cooler place inside.
- You are in one of the most VIP areas of the capital. All luxury hotels are within this district.
