Unusual housing has been trendy for several years. It’s chic and above all, it’s very often … green and super cool for the environment! From the trailer to the yurts, airstreams or tree houses … There are even some on the water. Focus on the Coucoo stilt huts of Domaine Grands Cépages.

If you follow me on Instagram, you have probably seen we recently slept in a cabin on stilts in the Vaucluse. An unusual accommodation that I had always dreamed. This experience has been proposed to us by Coucoo Grands Cépages, specialist of vegetated huts, on stilts and floating.

Discovery of a cabin on stilts in Coucoo Grands Cépages

There is only one door code to know before letting your suitcases in paradise … It’s immediately what I told myself when I arrived on the spot. The word is simple: paradise.

We had the privilege of sleeping in the Coucoo Millésime cabin, a cabin on stilts with large windows and a direct view of the lake. By the way, the lake’s water has an incredible color. Unfortunately, it is impossible to swim there. Don’t panic, it is quite possible to enjoy the infinity pool, located right next to the reception. The icing on the cake ? The private Nordic spa on our terrace. The dream ! This is really the best if you want to disconnect from everyday life while enjoying an unusual accommodation.

The hut on pile has a space “living room”, a room and a bathroom. On the terrace is the Nordic Spa, a small table for breakfast and dinner, a net and cushions straight out of the scenery of the most beautiful overwater villas in the Maldives. The interior space, just like the outside, is warm and cozy. All that’s missing is a fireplace for the cool evenings in winter!

In summary, the combo is just perfect. A cabin on stilts, Vaucluse, nature … What more? I found it. A dinner and a delicious breakfast.

The tips of La Bengale:

With the Millésime cabin, you can admire the sunset. From the Nordic spa and with a glass of champagne … it’s like being in a movie!

Local products at Coucoo Grands Grapes

If you want to book a hut on stilts and make the most of one of the unusual accommodations of Domaine Grands Cépages, I advise you to taste the dinner proposed by Coucoo. Healthy, Provençal or Gourmand, it’s up to you. We chose the Provençal dinner.

On the menu :

  • Eggplant fondant and crushed tomatoes
  • Leafy deglilla with aioli, seasonal vegetables and potatoes
  • Goat cheese with basil oil (my man ate it and clearly loved it)
  • Seasonal fruit crumble

That was delicious. We feel that the products are fresh. In addition, everything is local and prepared in a village close to the Domaine Grands Cépages. And that is priceless ! Ah yes I completely forget to tell you the price. The baskets are 65 € (half bottle of wine included) or 55 € without wine. So for two persons, it’s worth it!

Regarding the breakfast, it is directly included in the price of your reservation.

The little extra that makes the difference? The baskets are delivered discreetly at the entrance of your cabin. It’s really great!
